Lady, Kimberly N. Yancy

City Council Woman of LaMarcque, Texas

Lady Kimberley N. Yancy has been truly saved since the age of fourteen when she asked God to remove a deliberating stutter and in exchange, she would boldly speak and stand for Him. God delivered her that very same week! Since that time she has faithfully served God through speaking, writing plays, leading women ministry groups and retreats. Lady Kimberley writes under the literary pen name of Mikasenoja (which is Kim Jones spelled backwards with an a).

In 2008 she wrote a Christian Fiction novel entitled Confessions of a Preacher’s Wife which landed on Black Expressions Best Seller List for three months. Afterward she sought well known writer and director Bryan Keith Wilson to bring this story to the stage and it was brought to the life at Houston’s Wortham Theatre to a mass audience in December 2008. She is founder of First Friday Fellowship, a community outreach ministry that seeks to encourage women to live wholly, exciting, positive, and biblical obedient lives.

Lady Kimberley first ministry is to her husband and their family of four children, Joshua, William, Jennifer and CJ. She spent 10 years living in the Bay Area and is a graduate of Clear Lake High School and the University of Texas at Austin. She is certified Texas History school teacher, former director of Public Housing, and currently President/CEO of Gulf Coast Labor Solutions, a general staffing firm (www.gclabor.biz)

Lady Yancy is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is the lead founder and laborer of the historic Malcolm X Student Lounge at the University of Texas at Austin located in Jester Dormitory. It was this movement that gave fire and power to encourage student leaders to request the Martin Luther King and Barbara Jordan statues now on campus. Lady Yancy returns annually to her Alma mater to discuss business matters, African-American history and traditions at UT-Austin.

Lady Kimberley enjoys serving as a helpmeet to her husband’s vision of ministry and strives to join him in his efforts to please God. Lady K is NVC’s Director of Ministries, where she leads the administrative duties of implementation and logistics of the vision provided by Pastor Yancy, as God directs him. Lady Kimberley is presently pursuing a Masters degree in Apologetics from Houston Baptist University and plans to further pursue a doctorate. As Lady K, continues along this Christian journey, she is often heard saying “For with God nothing shall be impossible “(Luke 1:37) and “You have got one shot in this life, So go for it and do your best, God will do the rest.”
